2016 Toffee Award Winners

We are proud to present the results of the 2016 TOFFEE AWARDS Competition.

The International Chocolate Salon Awards for the 2016 TOFFEE AWARDS are based on the combined total number of votes received by each entrant from the Judging Panel.

The Judging Panel consists of National and Regional Magazines, Newspaper and Blog Editors, plus Topic Experts, Local Chefs and Food Gurus.

The award winners below have the honor of being able to display and use the Official Award Winner title and award logos, as well as use items (such as the Award Winner lapel pin), as well as use Custom Award Certificates, and logo award merchandise.

I'd never tasted Tombo Toffee, and this Oakland newcomer (new to me) has quickly become a favorite! Great texture, delicious flavor, a real freshness. Love the log and packaging. Hard to eat just one piece. Yum!

Tombo Toffeess (all varieties) had the perfect texture - crunch, then chewy. I didn't care for the soft and crumbly texture of Sweetbricks and didn't find their unusual flavors very appealing.

Top quality ingredients really come through in toffee. The flavor of the butter, the caramelized sugar, and the freshness of the nuts are all apparent in the best products. R&J's is just delicious -- very silky and a great combination -- however, the toffee is almost overtaken by the lovely milk chocolate; I did not discern any dark chocolate at all.

I appreciate the elegance of Campbell's design. Like the Tombo everything, the taste and the looks. Tomo heartshaped toffee is nice to look at and to taste. Sweetbricks has good assortment and box graphics.

A tie between Ava's, R&J and TOMO. The more I sampled, the more I kept coming back to these three.

Campbell's English Toffee Traditional English Toffee for its classic take and pure, rich toffee flavor.

The fresh roasted almond flavor of Campbell's and Ava's really appealed to me. Both had very well made toffee with great balance of sweetness and savoriness. Of the two, I preferred the texture of Campbell's so would have to say it was my favorite.

Tombo Toffee No. 2 Cayenne was a surprise, with a nice chili flavor that wasn't overpowering, providing a unique taste with the sweet toffee that had a nice texture.
