2019 Winners Announced for Best Spicy Chocolates

We are proud to present the results of the 2019 SPICY CHOCOLATE AWARDS Competition.

The International Chocolate Salon Awards for the 2019 SPICY CHOCOLATE AWARDS are based on the combined total number of votes received by each entrant from the Judging Panel.

The Judging Panel consists of National and Regional Magazines, Newspaper and Blog Editors, plus Topic Experts, Local Chefs and Food Gurus.

The award winners below have the honor of being able to display and use the Official Award Winner title and award logos, as well as use items (such as the Award Winner lapel pin), as well as use Custom Award Certificates, and logo award merchandise.

It's difficult to name only one favorite. The Delysia Sampler box was truly a tasting adventure with excellent flavors and degrees of heat. Every one of the four was delicious and interesting. I also really liked Hot Tempered Chocolate's Caffeinated Chile Bomb. Its ominous name promised heat, but it had a great flavor combination to balance it. And Chocolate Passion's Lime Habanero also sounded hot, but was perfectly delicious -- another outstanding combination

The Chocolate Fetish's Chile Cocoa Nib disk was outstanding. Its balanced heat, the crunch from its nicely roasted cacao nibs, its excellent quality and well-tempered chocolate, plus a good sheen and cacao pod design finish combined for a unique and delicious chocolate experience.

Some of the chocolate samples did not have an ingredient list. This is critical for judging the chocolates properly—please let your entrants know they really need to submit their ingredient lists
