The Best Toffee of 2022 and Awards Winners Announced

We are proud to present the results of the 2022 TOFFEE AWARDS Competition.

The International Chocolate Salon Awards for the 2022 TOFFEE AWARDS are based on the combined total number of votes received by each entrant from the Judging Panel.

The Judging Panel consists of National and Regional Magazines, Newspaper and Blog Editors, plus Topic Experts, Local Chefs and Food Gurus.

The award winners below have the honor of being able to display and use the Official Award Winner title and award logos, as well as use items (such as the Award Product Stickers, Award Winner lapel pin), as well as use Custom Award Certificates, and logo award merchandise.

The Toffee Merchant Sicilian Orange Blossom I was a bit leery going for the first bite, but the orange is refreshing a delightful balance. Great job!
I think I have several personal favorites for different moods, But to pick just one I am gong to pick Belle's Bourbon Pecan which I found refreshing and wanting to have more.

QUOTABLE COMMENTS FROM JUDGES

Stella's Peanut and Pretzel would be great while watching sports on tv. Belle's Hazelnut Espresso was mouthwatering with a great after taste. Tomo's S'mores were just right for an after diner treat. Fritz Far From Ordinary reminded me of old fashion delicious toffee. So easy to eat and enjoy. Robinson's Nutty Irishman was a great blend from three continents and it had my interest on the first bite Sonoma Chocolatiers have a nice blend of fruit and nuts.

Melting Pot Candy's Cinnamon Pecan toffee was alluring, but the heavy cinnamon flavor overpowered the whole experience. I'd love to try it at half strength.

INDIVIDUAL JUDGES' RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHOCOLATIERS

I personally think mixing sweet ingredients like fruit with toffee is a mistake, toffee is sweet enough and does not need extra sweetness. Sometimes less is more.
Jensen Toffee, love your product, from taste to packaging! Toni's Toffee--keep up the good work. Sweet-A-Licious, great toffees, especially espresso almond, definitely a keeper!
Thank you to the companies who used real, pure ingredients, without a lot of filler. You can taste the quality! Was disappointed in the use of soy/palm kernal oil in certain brands. You could taste the difference.
Some of the toffees are a bit too thick -- difficult to break and even bite down on
Belle: coated pieces , nice approachable touch for toffee. Reminiscent of See’s Candy. Caramella: coconut, ingredients are good but bit too soft and chewy. Jensen Toffee: packaging difficult to open, label is torn off after opening. R&J toffees: LLC on label, perhaps no need? Robinson’s Irishman…: Alot of words here to remember, maybe just “The Irishman? Little salty, cinnamon very strong. Sonoma chocLtes: Name not obvious on label, packaging difficult to open. Stella: packaging difficult to open.
